Observed through soul...!!

The “Never Say No” spirit in every Indian..

I was on a long walk in the cold evening…The place where I live is a posh area of Noida, So while I walk the most common scenes are super hotshot girls with headphones listening to English tracks on their hi-end phones…and trust me the volume is so high that people around can certainly hear it…or there are small kids of rich parents with their care takers or maids who queue up in the park to enjoy the oscillation of See-Saw….or there are loving newly-wed working couples with employee tags hanging around their neck buying fresh veggies from a sophisticated green grocery store…((but this scene is my most favorite one))…and the few more are a big German shepherd dogs which come out in the evening to attend to nature’s call…or young moms with their newly born babies in the cradle….

But apart from all these I was deeply touched by this lovely zestful combo of a son and father….That day I understood what is Courage …what it is actually to live without the undying spirit….or might be what I perceived was an illusion …and they were mere one of the poor masses in India….

To start with I would let u know one thing which is gonna help u understand what I am talking about in the paragraph which will follow …. All over Delhi NCR…water supplied through general taps is really hard and saline water of river Yamuna….hence all throughout this region there are large 20 litre water cans delivered in the societies flats and houses; daily and the empty water cans are collected ..this happens everyday….

Now this combo of which I am talking about ….The father was on the cycle with almost 10 cans of water on the carrier and few even tied in front of the cycle with his son properly dressed in school uniform…mind it…in the school uniform…..with striped blue tie and black shoes…it was so delightful that being even so poor the father sent his son to the school and it was evening still after attending school that small kid was in his school dress carrying few empty cans in his hands…the small boy pushed the cycle with one hand and carried water empty cans in the other hand and his father balanced the cycle while walking down the road….

I know this is a very simple scene but it touched my soul….it is “Indian”ness..if we have pizzas we have hunger grief too…if we have expensive brands we have poverty too…and when u discover poverty You will find millions of Indians…fighting every day struggling with patience and never giving up…This gives me one more reason to love my country and that day this thought did give me goose bumps all over..!!
